The only method that shapes as it sharpens

The Amy Portable Disc Blade Sharpener actually increases the diameter of the disc as it rolls and sharpens. Grinding or shaving any disc wastes metal which shortens the life of the product. Amy disc rolling forms the blade to the correct concavity, sharpens the blade edge, increases the size which adds to the life, increases the temper for longer wear, and sharpens faster… all without diiminishing your tillage tool. The Metal is rolled out to original concavity. Handles warped or unevenly worn blades and you can take the roller to the disc. A full 25% right or left adjustment from the center line. Controls are easy to reach, making it the favorite of farmers and operators everywhere.

Here’s why Amy Portable Disc Rolling is the best method of sharpening disc-type tools

  1. Worn disc blade profile. Note wear on inside as well as edge
  2. Grinding or shaving merely puts an edge on blade without restoring original form. Note wasted metal indicated by orange area.
  3. Amy Disc Rolling…
    • Forms blade to correct concavity
    • Sharpens blade edge
    • Increases blade size and adds to life of tool
    • Increases blade edge temper for longer wear
    • Sharpens faster—no tool dismantling

Many satisfied customers

“I always have my implement rolled with the Amy because I get better penetration and am sure this way of sharpening will increase the life of my blades by 5 years. It saves me money by saving several trips over the same field to get the same job with a dull disc.”
O.K. Schreib, St. Anne, IL

“I would certainly recommend the Amy way of sharpening disc blades. I have been over 1,134 acres since having my disc shapened with the Amy Disc Roller, an dit does fine yet. It did a better job of cutting stalks after it was rolled than when it was new.”
Julius Paulsen, Sr., Winnebago, NE

“I had one disc that was one year old and one new one of the same make. After sharpening the old disc with the Amy Disc Roller, the old one cut better thant he new one, and stayed sharp all year. In some cases where I used the old disc after sharpening, I would have had to use a heavier one for the case it saved an entire field disking for the second time over.”
Herbert Schroeder, Stuttgart, AR

“Anyone who is not keeping his disc blades sharp is wasting money. With the price of fuel a major concern these days, you can save 20% and more by making the implement pull easier, that says alot in itself. Also when you consider the high cost of a new disc or blade implement, it makes a regular maintenance program of disc rolling a very inexpensive investment.”
